Create a Dev Org

Steps to create a Dev Org

  1. Navigate to https://developer.salesforce.com

  2. In the top right corner there is a button for Sign-up, click on that button.

  3. This will open a form to enter the personal and contact details, fill in these details.

  4. While filling the Username field keep in mind not to populate your email in here. Instead provide a unique Username for example: minion@codes.com

  5. After filling the form click on Sign me up button, after which email will be sent to the registered email, verify the email and set the password.

Why do we need a Developer Org?

Developer Org is like a Trailhead Playground, basically used for experimenting and learning Salesforce Platform say for example you can create various apps, understand the Standard objects, create custom objects and relationships, build custom components using no code, low code or high code.
